Halfway There!

Fall is here and the weather is getting a little colder!

It has been pretty busy but time seems to be passing by faster.

Here is a run-down of the last couple of weeks!

First, it was Maria’s birthday! (:

The girls did a great job setting up the surprise and they did an amazing job on the food too!

Best buffalo chicken dip everrr.

It’s people like Maria that makes my job so worthwhile!

I love getting to meet new incoming students and it makes my job so much easier when they turn out like Maria!

She is so hard-working, has a great sense of humor, and is a good friend.

I love this girl!

We had coffee house the other night and Trey dressed up as a Branson Tourist.

The accuracy in his costume was probably what lead him to win first prize.

Lately all the store that I have been to have been a little Star Wars crazy.

Not that I don’t love it, and I have been extremly tempted to spend money on things that I defintely do not need but there is a line right?

Like this limited edition coffe creamer?

Why is this a limited edition?

This isn’t even a special flavor!

There is a regular Irish Creme right next to it for cheaper!

So friends this is where I draw the line, at coffee creamer.

For my early childhood activies class we had to make puppets out of a paper bag. Since I already have Christmas fever I decided to make an elf!

He is so cute!

If I have any teachers reading this, trust me when I say you need to have this in your classroom!

I took the paper bag and painted the bottom, you could really paint the elf’s shirt whatever color you wanted.

For his hat you just need to cut out a triangle and then fold the top down. Then I glued a red boarder on the bottom and cut a circle out for his hat.

I ran a little glitter on the edge of his hat and then stuck his googley eyes on.

I bought these foam shapes at the dollar tree and decided that the heart shape would look cute for his nose so that had to go on there too.

I had some extra buttons with me too so I decided that he should have real buttons for his shirt!

So cute, so easy, and my whole class loved it!

My friend Alex made her puppet and it was so cute because it was Olaf!

It was even cuter when she put Olaf in her bag.

Last week was halloween and we had to bring in a halloween acitivity for the classroom.

In the picture below you can see a print out of a bag with little eyeballs in it.

Mine was to fill a ziplock bag with hairgel and then to fill it with little googley eyes.

Lets the kids play with the slime without getting all slimey.

My professor and classmate made snacks and they were too cute!

A little ghost and then a set of teeth!

It is always nice when you get food in class.

It is getting closer and closer to my graduation and I am getting excited and so nervous.

The student season of my life is going to be over soon, and then what?

The above picture is yes, a very cliche picture to take on the fall.

You could look it up on instagram and see a million of pictures just like that.

But I had to take it because….it was Fall?

Because there was a perfect balance between brown grass and green grass?

Because my Vans had just been cleaned?

Because I WANTED TO. (:

But also because this picture reminds me of my upcoming adventures.

I feel like the next couple of years is me stepping off of solid ground into a season of not so solid ground.

I can’t tell if the ground is all muddy and I’ll sink as soon as I step into it or if the ground is a little bumpy but somewhat solid….

I have no clue.

It’s excting and nerve-wrecking all at the same time.

I might need to invest in some better shoes because these Vans aren’t going to take me all that far! (;
